Double-hand Poker is a modern game with old ancestry. Built on the old Chinese tile game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the eastern with the west in a wonderful game for starting gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler versus the dealer, not like most other poker games that gamblers compete against other gamblers. By gambling against the dealer, starting players don’t need to fret about other, more advanced individuals winning their moolla.
A further Pai Gow benefit is the relatively slow game play, novices will be able to take their time and plan while not needing to make hasty choices.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card basic deck and a single joker. The player is dealt seven cards faces showing and the dealer gets seven cards face down.
One 5 card hand and a 2 card hand need to be made from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand must be higher than the two card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be larger than the houses.
