Internet poker has become world acclaimed recently, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, arcs back quite a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years numerous variants on the earliest poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with vingt-et-un than old guard poker, in that the players bet against the dealer rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little conniving or other types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up just before the dealer saying "No more wagers." At that moment, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the other gamblers are given five cards each. After you have observed your hand and the dealer’s initial card, you need to in turn make a call bet or surrender. The call wager’s value is akin to your original bet, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your wager goes immediately to the house. After the bet comes the face off. If the casino does not have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, plus a sum in accordance with the ante. If the bank has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The casino pays out chips even with your initial bet and fixed odds on your call bet. These odds are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs
- 3-1 for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
