Internet Big Stakes Poker- Gus Hansen
Posted in Poker on 04/07/2025 05:25 am by MarcusGus Hansen had a marvelous year on the WPT where he was the only gambler to achieve closing poker table in three of the tournaments. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he bought into the game for $400, 000. You might remember one of the biggest pots in big stakes poker recorded history against Daniel Negreanu. Hansen raked in a big pot with 4 of a kind against Daniel’s full house. Hansen has made many televised poker appearances and is thought to be one of the best bettors in the world. While playing internet poker, a different side of Hansen has emerged. He frequently competes in the 200/400 No Limit max buy in of Forty Thousand dollars. Hansen frequently buys in for the min of Sixteen Thousand dollars and gambles very weak. He waits for a good hand and then pushes all-in. I accept that Gus is an outstanding poker player but not even close to the everyday players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is penniless, he has absolutely no reason to settle at the table with the minimum buy in.
Playing for the min takes most of the ability out of deep stack poker. Hansen is supposed to be 1 of the greatest poker players anywhere in the world but he cannot buy in for the total dollar value. I believe television can skew our perception of the real world sometimes. The best players anywhere in the world could be guys you have never heard about. Gus can be seen playing internet poker on Full Tilt. He usually competes in big stakes Omaha and hold’em. Gus Hansen has shown himself as a competition player. Can he use his skills in money rounds?
