A Couple of of Poker’s Charming Pros

Literally millions of people strive to be the next "mega star" in poker, but here is a short list of four of the more noteworthy "nice players" of poker. Although "nice" is connected with their names when you are at a poker table it is "no more Mr. Nice guy" until they have put you out of the competition!

Daniel Negreanu

In Two Thousand and Four, his competition winnings added up to in excess of $4.4 million and he attained two immensely respected awards in the WSOP Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Competition Player of the Year. In February 2006 he was named Card Player’s Preferred Poker Player. He even still has the humility to speak with his fans about how they will be able to advance their own game.

Howard Lederer

Called "The Professor" and sibling of fellow poker pro Annie Duke. His success has allowed him to make an educational video named "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and co hosting a tournament poker show for Fox TV. As of 2005, his total life earnings surpass $2.7 million.

Scotty Nguyen

Scott is one of the most active players in poker and between Two Thousand to Two Thousand and Four he ranked in the money in well over one hundred events. He’s notorious for saying "yeah baby" throughout poker games and also credited with the phrase "that’s poker baby" when referring to a exceptionally bad defeat. As of Two Thousand and Six, his life time earnings are almost six million dollars.

Chris Ferguson

Chris has won five WSOP titles with 2 of his wins coming in Two Thousand and Three. Has the alias "Jesus" because of his trademark long hair and beard, along with his ability to throw cards fast enough to slice through bananas and pickles. As of Two Thousand and Five his total poker tourney winnings exceeded five million dollars.
