Amateurs Tactics for Pai Gow Poker

Pai Gow Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Founded on the old Chinese domino game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the east with the west in an excellent game for beginner level players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player against the croupier, unlike most other poker games that players play with other gamblers. By competing against the dealer, new players don’t have to worry about any other, more advanced individuals taking their cash.

Another Pai Gow advantage is the fairly slow game play, newcomers can take their time and scheme while not having to make frenzied selections.

It’s also simpler to play for a very long time with just a tiny amount of money after all, to not win, each of your hands needs to be lower than both of the houses hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The gambler is given seven cards face up and the house gets 7 cards faces hidden.

One 5 card hand and a 2 card hand need to be put together from the seven cards, the five card hand must be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be larger than the casino’s.
